LLANELIDAN - ST ELIDEN
The church dates from the 15th century and is dedicated to a little known celtic saint.
Some fragments of medieval glass remain. There is a Jacobean pulpit with interesting carvings, and a portrait of a Roman Catholic martyr, Edward Jones. |
As of 1st January 2019, St Elidan's Church in Llanelidan has become a 'Pilgrim church'. This means that the church is still open every day, so if you feel you need a quiet space for reflection and prayer, do please feel free to visit our beautiful church in its tranquil setting. We're hoping to develop it as a site of pilgrimage and spiritual retreat. Also, there will be at least 6 services held in the church during 2019 - details to follow. Please enjoy this ancient and sacred church.
